A simple almond oatmeal recipe using the pot-in-pot method for electric pressure cookers

Ingredients

1 tablespoon
Solo Almond Paste (crumbled)
1⁄2 cup
oats
3 cup
water
1⁄4 teaspoon
vanilla
1 pinch
salt

Instructions

To make this Pressure Cooker Almond Oatmeal recipe...

  • Put a metal trivet into the liner of your pressure cooker and add in two cups of water. 
  • In an oven-proof bowl or pan add the oats, the third cup of water, almond paste, vanilla and salt. Stir. 
  • Close the lid and turn the vent to the sealing position. 
  • To cook the oatmeal, select manual high pressure for 10 minutes. 
  • After the almond oatmeal has cooked, do a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then release the remaining pressure until the valve drops. 
  • Take the bowl out carefully and stir the oatmeal. 
  • Top with your favorite toppings (blueberries, granola, almonds, etc.) and enjoy!
