Another successful Halloween filled with scary stories, costumes, and trick-or-treating. The door-to-door candy collection can certainly make the kids happy, but what are you really planning to do with all of that candy? In an effort to make the candy go to a good use, and to prevent it from getting stale, follow this Candy Rice Cereal Treats recipe!
Determining what candy to chop depends on your tastes. To make a treat that can satisfy a lot of different tastes, separate 6-8 small chocolate bars and 6-8 small tart and/or fruity candies. Unwrap them and then coarsely chop the chocolate candies, set aside, and then chop the fruity candies and set aside.
Melting the butter and Solo Marshmallow Creme doesn’t take long at all, so make sure you have your crisped cereal and greased pan ready to go. Add the cereal to the melted mixture, pour into the pan, and make sure it is evenly spread.
Now you can spread out the leftover candy however you’d like. We chose to do an even split, but you can decorate with a candy smiley face, write out someone’s name, or just scatter the pieces wherever they’ll fall.
After allowing the treat to cool, go ahead and slice it up. Pack the slices into zipped plastic bags for a nice lunch snack, or bring them all into the office for everyone to enjoy. However you choose to enjoy these, it’s nice to know all of that candy went to a great recipe!
