This Memorial Day weekend, bring something patriotic and delicious to the backyard barbeque or family picnic. This quick, easy, and patriotic Cherry Blueberry Marshmallow Fruit Salad is the perfect dish to share, and it doesn’t take much to get it ready!
You’ll want to start with the creamy ingredients first. This fruit salad uses Solo Marshmallow Creme instead of mini marshmallows, which gives it a thicker and creamier consistency.
Once your base has been mixed together with the coconut, you’ll prep the fruit to be added to it. *You can also add pecans or chopped walnuts for added crunch.
Make sure to rinse the blueberries to remove any particles you wouldn’t want in your fruit salad. Pat dry with a paper towel and set aside. The cherries will need to be drained from the jar and we recommend that you pat these dry as well. Leaving too much cherry juice can turn the salad pink.
When folding in the fruit, go slowly to prevent the berries and cherries from becoming crushed.
Once the salad is mixed together, cover and set in the fridge for at least two hours. You can make this the night before your cookout if you’d rather have a grab-and-go dessert option that afternoon.
We hope you have a safe and enjoyable Memorial Day weekend, and that you enjoy this delicious treat!
