In order to make this homemade apple pie recipe, line the pie pan with the pie crust of your choice. Use 1/2 cup of brown sugar to sprinkle around the pie crust for extra flavor (if desired). Gently mix in the jars of apple pie filling. Top with the second pie crust or lattice design of your choice, making sure to touch all sides of the pan. Cut small slits in top crust with a knife for best baking results. Brush top crust with milk and sprinkle with sugar if desired. Then, bake at 425 degrees for 40-45 minutes, or until the apple pie is golden brown.
