Brrr! It’s definitely cold this winter so unless you’re living in Miami or El Paso you’re probably craving something to keep you warm! There are many desserts that satisfy this desire, and we’ve compiled a list of some of the best ones!

german chocolate cakeGerman Chocolate Cake

Something about the richness of this dessert makes me want to cuddle up with a fork and a blanket. Warm chocolate cake with a nice helping of caramel coconut frosting. Is there anything better? Try this delicious Baked German Chocolate Cake if you’re feeling up to the challenge! If not, boost your box mixes with healthier substitutes!

Hot Chocolate

Yes, you can purchase instant hot chocolate mix at your grocery store, but what’s the fun in that? Plus, this Hot Chocolate Recipe looks to die for, and it makes great gifts (though you don’t HAVE to share!) We can almost guarantee that you’ll never go back to the store brand again!

Cinnamon Rolls

Who says cinnamon rolls have to be only for breakfast? They are great treats to sit by a fire or lazily watch a movie with, and can be as easy or difficult as you want. Grab some instant cinnamon rolls, or try this decadent recipe for Bacon Cinnamon Rolls. Yes, you read that correctly.

Brownies

Yes, a classic. Brownies are good with chocolate fudge frosting, chips, snickers baked into them, or just plain. Try these Sundae Bars for a twist on brownies. Bake brownies as you normally would then cover in Marshmallow crème and chocolate chips. Yum!

Apple Crisp

We’ve featured apple crisp many times because it is so wonderful for so many occasions. There are tons of recipes out there for different types of apple crisp, but this one is certainly the easiest. Try it if you’re craving something sweet and warm!

Just spread apple pie filling in deep dish, and cover with a boxed cake mix. Pour melted butter over top, and throw in the oven at 375 degrees for 30- 40 minutes.

Try these delicious fire-side recipes. Cuddle up with someone special, pop in a movie and enjoy your winter desserts. The warm feeling comes from the food AND the feeling!
